The local electric utility serving much of Middle Tennessee with outage information, service questions and energy-saving resources.
Nashville Electric Service, known as NES, is the public power utility for Davidson County and much of the surrounding area. Its website offers outage information, service requests, safety tips and energy-saving resources. Homeowners in the area who add motorized treatments or want to reduce cooling costs sometimes check utility resources for ideas and programs.
For window treatments, most work does not touch the utility. Motorized shades usually plug into outlets or use batteries, and hardwired systems are handled inside the home by a qualified electrician. We explain what a project needs and coordinate with electricians when wiring is involved.
